  We arrived in Lakes at somewhat around 9pm and had no place to stay... When I called this ground a very nice lady was on the phone not bothered at all about the time but explaining everything really friendly and in detail. No problem at all arriving this late. Its a pretty big campground with lots of space. Old amenities but mostly clean. Had all that's necessary and that for a very fair price. The Lady and her I guess husband were friends of the actual owners and just stood in for them but I can definitely recommend for a stop over.

  i have found the care takers to be extremely rude very dogmatic and do not dare ask a question if they feel that you question is silly they talk down on you. i had 2 others that i had met make the same comments

  East to organise camping with a friendly administrator. Amenities are there and it's in a good location for the beach and shops. Waterfront camping was nice. Some of the land seemed fairly degraded, it would be much nicer with some more effort put into restoration of the shoreline.

  I was really disappointed that although this place has a Quiet Time policy from 10pm onwards but they allowed the footy team to have a noisy party till 12mn at the detriment of all the campers there. Our young baby was greatly disturbed and had a hard time falling asleep. He was always jolted up by the loud screams or laughter from the party. Next morning, there were flocks of birds making loud noises on the trees and woke all of us up again. Apart from the fantastic view, this place is definitely not a good place for a vacation if you are looking for some peace and quiet and sleep in... there was also a man in the ladies shower room when I was about to go into the shower room. He finished his shower and stood at the mirror. I was shocked and disturbed when he appeared. He then just laughed off that he went to the wrong shower room and walked off. Bad security system there. Every camper were given shower rooms keys but it is apparent to me now that men can also enter and hide in ladies shower room. How unsafe is this place! Never to go back nor recommend anyone there ever again.
